"Hawaii's High Tech Leaders"
Flavors of Technology Award, Hawaii

Bob Furukawa, JN Productions’ general manager was selected as a Pacific Technology Foundation Hi-Tech Leader at the annual Awards Ceremony on September 30, 2007.
Furukawa is the guiding force in implementing and utilizing technology to improve the company workflow. From simple Excel worksheets to complicated network servers which connect us to the world, Furukawa has played a crucial role in helping all of us to learn and integrate hi-tech into our work. The video production industry has taken great leaps in the past few years, going from analog to digital. Once-costly video equipment has been replaced by more affordable computers and downloadable software, increasing competition and widening the playing field. Furukawa and his team constantly research and implement new strategies to stay at the top of the pack in providing quality and efficient service and products. Most of all, Furukawa is a teacher. He is diligent about keeping all employees well-trained and is always willing to share his knowledge and time.
When JN Productions was founded in 1981, our technology consisted of telephones, IBM Selectric typewriters and the telex machine. Over the years, Furukawa has consistently taken the company to new heights, integrating technology and making the transition into the 21st century smooth and efficient. He has helped make JN Productions competitive in the international market and made it viable.

"Hi-Tech Woman of the Year"
Flavors of Technology Award, Hawaii

The local business and technology community came together on October 22, to recognize Hawaii's top high-tech leaders. Sponsored by the Pacific Technology Foundation, the event is in its 6th year. Joanne Ninomiya, President of JN Productions, a local media production company, was chosen as the 2006 Technology Woman of the Year. JN Productions managed KIKU TV from 1993-2003, and was responsible for bringing top quality Japanese TV shows to Hawaii, including "Miyamoto Musashi," "Making it Through," and "Soko ga Shiritai."
JN Productions currently translates anime and manga productions from Japan for the American market. Anime is Japan's third largest export, after cars and electronics, and Ninomiya said, "Not only do we have to do impeccable work as translators, but also know the technology through and through to serve our clients." After the Japanese shows are translated, JN Productions preps many of them for eventual DVD or voice over productions. She added, "I may oversee the entire operations, but it's my staff that has all the skills and knowledge of the latest technology in our field."

"Hawaii's Top 50 High Tech Leaders"
Flavors of Technology Award, Hawaii

2006 is the third year in a row that JN Productions has been recognized as a leader in the field of technology in Hawaii. In 2004, Joanne Ninomiya was selected as a High-Tech leader, and in 2005 Karen Corpuz and Robby Gaskell were named as high-tech leaders for their accomplishments in the field.
Robby Gaskell is JN Productions' Senior DVD Producer who also oversees everything that has to do with computers and technology in our office. In JN Productions' multiplatform environment, Robby makes sure everything is operating smoothly and optimally for our clients and staff. Karen Corpuz is JN Productions' Director of Translations and Subtitling which is a field that is growing by leaps and bounds in the U.S., particularly in the Japanese animation and manga genre. Not only do our translators have to be adept at translating, but knowledge of technology is a must when our works are presented to program producers for eventual DVD production.
JN Productions is proud to be a part of Hawaii's growing High-Tech industry, as we continue to upgrade our equipment and develop new and exciting solutions for our clients and staff.

Kikaida DVD Volume 1
dvdempire.com Customer Review by Steven Lewis - Rating: 5/5
"This DVD makes me feel like I'm five years old again. Being a military brat living in Hawaii in the early 70's, I like every other kid there, fell in love with Kikaida. From Teen-age Mutant Ninja Turtles to the Power Rangers to whatever is the current 'big thing,' Kikaida lead the way, they all borrowed and expanded from this show. These DVD's are a must for anyone who grew up watching..as well as any true fans of the genera." (sic)

Kikaida DVD Volume 8
kfccinema.com Review by Joseph Luster - Overall Rating: 5/5
"I might as well copy and paste my praise for JN Production's Kikaida DVDs at this point. Everything is still top notch from the picture to the audio, and the only difference is that they keep adding cool new extras. The removable English subs even come with an expletives deleted option for the kiddies."

Kikaida DVD Volume 1
Honolulu Star-Bulletin Burl Burlingame
"The technical wizards at JN Productions digitally remastered the 16mm Toei Co. film stock for the DVD edition. The colors are bright and creamy, and detail just pops off the screen. What is really striking and different, however, is the sound and music quality. The show's score was fairly vibrant to begin with, and now it just booms out of the speakers. It really creates a tremendous sense of presence and depth to the viewing experiences."
